Drug House Busted

September 28, after a lengthy investigation, the Oceanside RCMP General Investigation Section was able to obtain a warrant to enter a home on a property in the French Creek area of Parksville. The home had been under surveillance, as it was believed there was drug trafficking occurring out of the home.

Once inside the home, police located several occupants, 2 men, aged 74 and 27, who reside in the home were arrested without incident.

The drug seizure included a significant amount of suspected Gamma-hydroxbutyrate (GHB), heroin and MDMA (Ecstasy). Another very concerning item that was seized was a suspected live hand grenade.

The 74 year old suspect has been released on a Promise to Appear in Nanaimo Provincial Court on November 19. The 27 year old man, who was on court imposed conditions for a prior drug trafficking conviction, was held in custody. He will appear today in Nanaimo Provincial Court for his First Appearance.
