Bank Robbery

On July 29 at 2:53 p.m., the Oceanside RCMP responded to the TD Canada Trust bank in Qualicum Beach to reports of a robbery that had occurred 10 minutes prior. A male suspect had entered the bank and produced a note to a teller indicating that he had a weapon and was demanding cash. The man was handed a sum of money before fleeing on foot. Nobody was harmed during the incident and no weapon was produced.

The male suspect is described as a Caucasian male in his 20’s, 5'6" tall with a slim build and light brown hair. The male was wearing a green camo baseball cap, black hoody (up), and dark sunglasses.

The suspect left the bank on foot in an unknown direction.

The investigation continues with evidence ranging from witness statements, video surveillance and forensics. No further information or specifics will be disseminated at this time as it may jeopardize the ongoing investigation.
