Undercover Cops Catch Woman Undercover

On January 3rd, at approximately 9:20 a.m., Officers from the Oceanside RCMP General Investigation Section observed a van and driver well known to them while on patrol in Qualicum Beach. They stopped to talk to the driver and when doing so, noticed something move under a blanket in the back seat.

Further investigation revealed that there was a female hiding under a blanket in the back of the van. After identifying the female, a 34 year old Nanoose Bay resident, it was discovered that she had 9 outstanding arrest warrants. She was subsequently arrested and it was further noted that she had court imposed no-contact conditions with the driver of the vehicle.

The accused made a first appearance in court today (January 4th) and makes her next appearance on January 17th.
