File # 2020-4717

On May 28 at 9:30 p.m., a man who was cycling on Memorial Avenue towards Highway 4a was clipped (hit) by the mirror of a passing vehicle. The vehicle proceeded West on Memorial and did not stop to offer assistance.

The 59 year old cyclist who had lighting on both the front and back of their bike was surprisingly able to maintain his balance and was not thrown to the ground. He suffered minor injuries and was assessed by the BC Ambulance Service.

The car was described as a black, 90’s model Ford Thunderbird. The cyclist believed the driver was holding something in their hand.
